On National Giographic channell I watched a documentary on "Exorcism." It showed scientificaly using brain scans, why people think they are "possesed" and can "talk in tongues." Best doco. I've seen in a long time. A big help....my wife still tells me to get rid of my horror movies because "they could demonize our house." Sometimes I think I married my mum!

Even now I still suffer from Demon-phobia at night anyone else?? {Bump??}

i think the witnesses have conditioned me to believe in demons on a sub-conscious level.

Merry Magdelene = No offense meant! But Mohamed a perfect follower of the Koran??? Have you ever followed his real biography?? It's like Mormons describe Joseph Smith the prophet as a glowing saint. They forget to mention the child-molesting {under-age brides} and 30 wives,whom he told it was "God's Will" they marry him. His first wife was not happy. They forget that he lived by violence and died in a shoot out. Prophets are what we make them today in 2007. Why do you wear a head covering?? My muslim friends from Europe don't ever!! {best friend's I respect} In Iran your arrested if you don't {different interpratation} In Europe muslim scholars say the Koran meant "beat your wife" with a straw. Some Middle east Muslim scholars say "beat your wife" with a fist. It's all about changing and white washing what was said like Mormons do and Witnesses and Muslims.
Sorry Merry I disagree with you but I hope you have found peace in your life..I think if it makes you happy thats something most of US may not have. {lost faith very critical of religion} Peace.
P.S I never discuss religion with my Muslim friends since we argue too much, especially when I was a Witness.

As a kid I suffered alot thinking there was someone in my room...hearing clinking glasses in the kitchen. Today I would say that I was conditioned by the society's publications and my Witness mother who was very superstitous about "Demons." Even the first book I ever read; My Book of Bible stories had alot of scary stuff in it, for a kid.

Through-out even human history, there have been "ice-ages" and "global warming" this was before cars and polution ??? Many scientist disagree with Al Gore's theories.....I'm saying have we all been "brainwashed" into another one-sided dooms day cult? Look at both-sides of the arguement. Is it Natural or caused by pollution? The idea that in 50 years half the planet will be under water is a stupid panic. Like in the 70's when scientists thought the alignment of the planets would lead to massive earthquakes and calamity...nothing happened!!

i only had christmas until i was 5 when my mom converted to jw.
before that, christmas was really big in our house.

For some reason we had a copy of the "Pulp Fiction" soundtrack which has very expicit language since there are bits of the movie on it...my Elder friend shaffled through the CD rack when I wasn't home...and insisted on playing what he had found later, to our embarrassment...he was never invited back.

I love my pets more than any "Brother or Sister" the've given me more love and affection then all Witnesses put togther, so the Watchtower can kiss my Australian ass...I would give any money I could to take care of them and thats my God Damn right as a Christian! What next? Banning take-away food because like the Israelites during the Exodus, it encourages "selfish-longing." Eat "manna" or rice instead...see it's easy to make up bull-s--t laws, if your an arrogant God-man in Bethel.
